A Clean Bill of Health: ishipdocs Cures Government Health Agency of Print Problem

Two years ago, a government healthcare agency in Sacramento, California, presented ARC with an unusual printing problem.

The organization was created to provide California with vital information on the state’s healthcare delivery system, monitor the construction infrastructure and seismic safety of hospitals, and offer loan insurance to subsidize California’s non-profit medical facilities. As you can imagine, all of their documents are highly confidential. The need for information security forced the agency to require its clients to make copies of sensitive documents on site, a workflow that was less than ideal.

Senior sales consultant Ed Parra was confident that ARC could provide the perfect remedy.

The Examination

The agency needed a solution that would allow them to charge customers for the documents they collected and also limit access to the material. Parra knew that rather than relying on a “MacGyvered” fix the institution could use ishipdocs, ARC’s easy-to-use digital shipping tool, to print and deliver confidential documents to any of their clients securely and efficiently.

ARC’s Document Concierge could then ensure safe delivery and bill the recipient directly — relieving the agency’s customers of a messy billing process and the stress associated with online data security.

Initially, there was reluctance from some architects who had grown accustomed to the old system. However, as they continued to operate using the clunky and inefficient on-site printer method, the need for ishipdocs soon became apparent. The organization has been an avid user of ishipdocs for over a year now!

The Follow Up

Recently, Brian Conrad, an ARC manager in Sacramento, checked in with the healthcare institution to see how they are feeling about their switch to ishipdocs. Their supervisor and senior architects all responded with great enthusiasm. One architect commented, “The customer service is as valuable as the software and process we are using with ARC. I am very satisfied.”

After ishipdocs solved the Sacramento agency’s printing woes, Parra expanded the service to the agency’s Los Angeles office. “Because of the success of this process we are moving forward to serving other state agencies.”

The positive response from the healthcare agency shows that sometimes the best cure can also be the easiest pill to swallow.
